INTRODUCTION:
We human beings are necessarily social animals. Communication as well as interaction with one another is the most vital part of our life. We love to socialize and interact with one another. Internet technology has changed the scenario around us. We are very much thankful to this technology as it helps us to be in contact with friends and family throughout the world instanteously. It provides an open opportunity for the public to find the new web content and click through the sites. The interconnectivity of consumers through social media such as communities, reviews or recommendations is likely to establish trust between the organization as well as the consumers.

Social media is actually a way to connect with the whole audience in order to improve the profit of the organisation whereby enhancing the sales of different products and services. Be it Facebook, twitter, whatsapp, Instagram etc. It helps a person to be socially active. These social networking sites act as word of mouth or more preciously we can term it as e-word of mouth. Social media marketing is a phenomenon and also a medium that no marketing organization can afford to ignore or be absent from. It gives a whole platform for the consumers to interact with the companies directly. This interaction is much better than the previously used traditional methods of outbound marketing and advertising.

It helps to increase our reach via various quoted experts. Social Media marketing is that efficient tool which helps us to understand our audience in a better way. It helps the organizations to build relationship with the audience. Most of the online shopping sites do their advertisements via social media platforms such as whatsapp, twitter; Instagram etc. Social media marketing can do targeting as well as retargeting. For example, it can target the customers by various factors such as age, location, industries, education level etc. Social media marketing is used to measure the success of any event and is also used for doing promotions of events. It is used as a key to customer service as it helps to give maximum customer satisfaction and retention to the customers. Social media acts as a perfect addition to your press release strategy. It helps to maximise the profit of an organisation thereby increasing the sales of different products as well as services. It helps to make our brands aware to the potential customers.
The shift from the traditional marketing tactics to online marketing has been growing enormously. Businesses have been taking much advantage of less expensive as well as highly visible marketing platforms viewed by millions of people.
In addition to various research tools, some organizations also provide specialised platforms or tools for social media marketing. Such tools are social media, social media monitoring, social aggregation, social book marking and tagging, social analytics and reporting, automation, blog marketing and validation.

Taking advantage of these strategies can help you build your community, make your marketing more effective, and incentivize buying.
